The Brettl was surprisingly good size- and variety-wise: five types of sausage and ham, Speck, Blutwurst, cheese (again tasteless Emmentaler, unfortunately) and some pinkish spread. The spread had to replace butter and mustard, which were nowhere to be seen. The horseradish and eggs were also sadly missing. The bread, obviously bought outside, was not special either, and all in all this would have been a rather mediocre Brettljause, had the quality of ingredients been the same as in 90% of other restaurants. Unexpectedly, the Speck, salamis and ham had an unusual and better-than-standard taste. Even if they get the stuff from a supermarket, it’s not from a well-known one. It’s a pity the weather was too bad to sit outside; I might have enjoyed the Dorf Wirt more.
